I would say all the options you will have are good and easy to get.In Mid Nov 2013 my wife & I were on a Gate1 guided tour and per our schedule we stayed at the Barcelo three times (different rooms) for a total of four nights. You can also use Uber in the city, or use yellow taxis that are a bit more formal company and charge by the mille traveled. I have never heard any news of any of them doing anything against the people that they transport so I would feel comfortable with those taxis, they are also used to receive tourist so they may even speak English. There are many taxis waiting for the flights to arrive outside the airport, and they specifically wait there the whole day. So it would be helpful to know exactly what time you will come. Although at the airport you can easily ask aomeone to give you a call, Guatemalan people are usually nice :).įor your flight, I assume that it arrives late, but not really that late since the airport is closed in the night. Its very handy if you are in a tricky situation. You can activate the roaming service on your phone to be able to make calls in Guatemala. For Guatemala you will just need +502 followed by an 8 digit number. The official wway to do it (that ots supposed to work in all phones, just on case) is to add the + sign and then the country code followed by the area code.
